The Diamond Sutra: The world as an interconnected whole (Trilingual Edition: Chinese, Korean, and English) This volume is a comprehensive trilingual edition featuring the Classical Chinese version, the Korean translation by Seon Master Daeheng, and a complete English translation. Following the publication of Korean-English edition in January 2025, this collection was produced in response to requests from readers worldwide who sought to study the original Chinese text alongside Master Daehaeng’s profound contemporary interpretations and its English translation. 1. Layout and Comparative Reading: The book is designed for comparative study. Each page spread presents the Classical Chinese text and the Korean translation on the left-hand page, with the corresponding English translation on the facing right-hand page. The verses are aligned paragraph by paragraph across all three languages, allowing readers to intuitively contrast and contemplate the sacred teachings through different linguistic and cultural lenses. 2. The book’s additional sections further the reader’s understanding of the text and its context: About This Book, Introduction, Author’s Note, The Main Text (32 chapters) that is the core of the Diamond Sutra, and About the Author, Seon Master Daehaeng. 3. Educational and Spiritual Value: By presenting the Diamond Sutra in three languages, this edition offers more than just a translation; it provides a multidimensional perspective on a text that many consider the ultimate teaching of Buddhist thought. Readers can explore how the same profound truth resonates across different eras and cultures. It serves as an essential guide for both practitioners of meditation, as well as scholars of Buddhist philosophy who are seeking a deeper, more integrated understanding of the Diamond Sutra.
