책 소개
Preface When the Rain Begins to Sing On an autumn day softened by rain, I stood in the narrow alley of Gyedong.Raindrops gathered on tiled roofs, then slipped downward in thin lines of silver.Among century-old hanok houses stands the former Gyedong Madam’s House, now the Bukchon Cultural Center.City noise dissolves into rainfall. The house seems to pause, holding its breath. Overlapping Time Here, time does not move in a line. Today brushes against yesterday. Old walls receive new rain.A drop becomes a line. Lines gather into flow.A single drop hesitating at the tip of a leaf joins another— as scattered moments become a life. What Remains A red umbrella fades into mist. Footsteps move on. Only what flows finds a place to remain.Only what slips away returns as memory.Today’s rain becomes yesterday. Yesterday’s water rises again as cloud. At that fragile edge, the rain begins to sing. And something unspoken listens.
