책 소개
The Civil Discussion Society Club aims to propagate free speech in a rigorous, academic environment. Currently, the global political climate is very restrictive, censoring whatever views—even those that make rational sense—that do not agree with the currently popular rhetoric. But we believe that without the liberty to speak freely, meaningful discourse cannot be created, and thus, society cannot progress. In order to protect the right to free expression, something that belongs to everyone no matter how controversial their beliefs may be, the Civil Discussions Society Club wants to create a safe space where anybody can say anything given that they provide effective reasoning and evidence to support their beliefs. International education and Korean education are essentially on the two ends of the Korean educational spectrum. Vesper is a project that attempts to unite the two ends of the educational spectrum and allow people to speak up using their words as a podium and platform to speak about topics that they are interested in.
