책 소개
The future will be a generation in which learning becomes the center and thus, lifelong study will be spread more. Most people believe that if teacher teaches well, students could learn better. Therefore, many educators claim that the quality of education cannot surpass the quality of teachers. However, the quality of teachers should not be seen as a synonym of the quality of learning. Regardless of teacher's capability, students can study better when they are learning by their own. When a teacher puts an effort to improve teaching skill, it is eventually assumed that students are very passive. In other words, from this point of view, learning level of students is decided by how teachers teach. Getting out of this point, we believe that to increase the student's ability of learning is more important and more urgent to be solved. While students are running away from learning, improving teachers' capability to teach is not getting to the point but just beating around the bush. Even though there is an effort to improve teachers' capability through workshops, the situation of student's learning is getting worse and therefore, it is the time to covert the view of education. Most of Korean students spend their school's days to study for universities and even after graduation, they need to study hard to get a job. However, many undergraduates experience the feeling of confusion and sense of loss where self-study environment is prevalent and required. These feelings get worse when they do not have an appropriate learning strategy for university study. Learning strategy introduced in this book, is made for those university students and it is modified to apply to the elementary and middle school students. Of course, through application to elementary and middle school students for many years, this program has been proven to be effective. Especially, I recommend this program to those students who are not yet aware of self-learning. Moreover, I advise schools or other education institutions not just to say ' Study hard' to students but to help them to find their real dreams and to make those dreams to become true through adopting this program. This book is composed as follows. First book is about time management. The amount of learning is directly proportional to the time spent on learning. This means as time spends more on learning, the more things are studied. The important thing is that this is not the time spent on sitting at the desk but the time spent to concentrate on learning. Students who have lost their goals, do not know why they have to learn. Therefore, learning begins from the Time Management. Students who read this book can learn how to find their dreams and how to manage the time effectively to make those dreams true. Second book is about Concentration Management Strategy. Managing time well alone can increase concentration but there are many different ways developed to increase concentration. From this book, students can realize which type of concentration is insufficient and learn how to overcome this. Third book is Memory Management Strategy. No matter how much time is spent to study, if it is all forgotten after a day, this is a really sad thing. Therefore, students who learn a way to memorize well, their academic achievement level will be higher than that of students who are not aware of those methods. In Reading Strategy, through a new approach, four arithmetics, the strategy can be taught and learned easily. Especially, the inference part of readings about which most students feel difficult, is subdivided so that it can be learned step by step. Test Management in Learning Strategy covers systematically from the daily study habit and attitude towards tests to preparation just before the tests , a simulation of taking a real test and analysis after the test. In addition, it helps to find out how much students feel nervous about test and suggests a way to overcome test anxiety. Thus,…
