책 소개

IPCST (Internal &#039Parent-Child’ Systems Therapy) is the Family Therapy Model(Approach) which was introduced through the Family Counseling Conference in Seoul, South Korea in 2018. This IPCST treatment model establishes the direction and content of treatment based on Family Systems Theory and Intersystem Approach, and sees Family-of-Origin (FOO) Therapy as the starting point for its treatment. The core content of IPCST&#039s FOO Therapy is &#039Parent-Child Systems Therapy.’ ‘Parent-Child Systems Therapy’ includes two dimensions: (1) Parent-Child Relationship Therapy Work focusing on the client’s early relationship experience with their primary caregivers through FOO Therapy and Inner Child Therapy, and (2) Another Parent-Child Relationship Therapy Work is to be conducted through a Conscious Partnership as a new way as deepening and integrating a Parent-Child (PC) Dialogue of Imago Relationship Therapy (IRS). In the IPCST model, &#039parenting and their children’s counseling&#039 are conducted based on the &#039Conscious Partnership of Couples as Parents&#039 formed as a result of Parental-Child Relationship Therapy Work."Intersystem Approach (IA)" serves as a guide map to the therapeutic diagnosis and direction of IPCST treatment. IA was developed jointly by Marriage and Family Therapists, Dr. Rita DeMaria and Dr. Gerald Weeks, (1) working on a Focus Genogram (FG) and (2) clarifying attachment styles which is formed multi-generationally in the family system, (3) by examining and analyzing thoroughly how their attachment styles impacted their individual personality (Individual Domain), their couple relationships (Couple Domain), and their family relationships (Family System Domain), (4) eventually, it guides you to provide a "Secure Attachment-Based Therapeutic Alliance" to your clients when you apply it clinically through your therapy session. When therapists want to apply IPCST to their counseling practice, the most important key concept is "Isomorphism." Isomorphism is a representative concept that best expresses its clinical philosophy and attitude of IPCST therapists in their counseling practice. It first needs a "self-reflective" humble attitude, like a monk, that thoroughly examines who I am as a "Self-of-the-Therapist." It means the therapist herself doing her best in a genuine attitude for her own healing and growth, and the reason for doing so is to always maintain the attitude of "how can I be the best tool for my counselee?" above all else. Therefore, the key to IPCST’s clinical training and supervision, which makes her a relational and systemic IPCST specialist, depends on how clearly the therapist has become aware of this concept of isomorphism. In addition, it is most important to have and maintain &#039Isomorphic Insight&#039 that you have gained through continuous clinical training as an IPCST therapist, supervision, and self-reflection, and &#039Best of Me&#039 when you are doing therapy with your clients as a therapist.Originally, Isomorphism is a term being used in the field of Mathematics for repetition of similar patterns at all levels of the system, then became a key concept of family therapist training, and is now recommended as the most important concept of supervision in terms of the supervisory relationship between supervisor and supervisee in Marriage and Family Therapy Supervisor training in AAMFT.Through relationship(system) therapist(expert) training, the therapists are being clearly aware of the nature and influence of the patterns of mutual similarities among "supervisor-(with supervisor’s family system)-supervisee- (with supervisee(therapist)’s family system)-client- (with client’s family system)," thus fully aware of who I am as "self-in-relation.” It is important to become a self-reflective therapist who is able to observe herself, especially when they are forming "the therapeutic relationship with their clients." Therefore, qualification as systemic and relational therapists can b…
