The Practicality of This Book This book is a collection of sermons I preached in Korean during Sunday morning services at a Korean church throughout 1997, while I was pursuing my PhD in Old Testament studies. It has since been translated into English to provide insights into Old Testament theology and to help apply its themes in preaching. The book offers an accessible understanding of the overarching themes of the Old Testament and Scripture-centered topics through the lens of preaching. It is particularly useful for pastors preaching the Old Testament in English, as well as for those in missional contexts or pastors seeking to convey biblical themes effectively in English.
